Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• Service — the AI-Guardian browser extension, web dashboard, and related APIs.
• Personal Tier — the free-forever plan for individual users.
• Enterprise Tier — the paid plan for organisations, preceded by a 7-day full-access trial.
• Customer — the individual or organisation accepting these terms.

2. Acceptance

By installing the extension, creating an account, or submitting a demo request, you accept these Terms. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or threaten the integrity of the Service.

4. Licence and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent expressly allowed by applicable law.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to bypass detection.
• Interfere with the Service's integrity, probe for vulnerabilities without authorisation, or exceed published rate limits.
• Upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious.

5. Personal Tier

The Personal Tier is free of charge and provided “as is.” Feature availability may change. Detection rules are updated over time and we may rate-limit abusive use.

6. Enterprise trial

Eligible organisations receive a 7-day, full-access Enterprise trial after a brief compliance consultation. The trial is free. No payment is taken during the trial. At the end of the trial:

• You may sign a paid Order Form to continue on the Enterprise plan.
• If you do not, Enterprise features are disabled and your account returns to the Personal Tier automatically — no card charged, no auto-renewal surprise.

7. Fees and taxes (Enterprise)

Enterprise fees are set out in the Order Form. Unless otherwise stated, fees are net of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable VAT or sales tax. Invoices are payable within 30 days.

8. Data

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Enterprise Customers additionally enter into our Data Processing Agreement, which governs processor obligations under the GDPR.

9. Intellectual property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including detection rules, documentation, and the AI-Guardian name and marks. You retain all rights to the content you interact with through the Service.

10. Warranty disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No detection system is perfect — AI-Guardian significantly reduces the risk of data leaks but cannot guarantee detection of every possible sensitive input.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance, either on this page or by email to account owners.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Budapest, unless mandatory local consumer law grants you a different forum.
