Chrome Extension Data Privacy (AI-Guardian)
To comply with Chrome Web Store user data policies, we explicitly state how the AI-Guardian browser extension treats your information.
1. Data collection
The AI-Guardian extension monitors browser text input (for example in ChatGPT) locally on your device to detect sensitive information. We do not collect, transmit, or store the actual sensitive content (for example raw AWS keys or passwords).
We only collect metadata about the event: the type of data blocked (for example “AWS Key”), the timestamp, and a user identifier so the event can be associated with your dashboard (for example pairing-based or account-scoped telemetry). No prompt text is sent to our servers.
2. Data handling
The collected metadata is used exclusively to populate your organization’s security dashboard and related product surfaces, allowing administrators to monitor intercepted leak attempts at an aggregate level.
3. Data storage
Event metadata is transmitted over encrypted channels (HTTPS) and stored in our secure cloud database (Supabase), subject to access controls and Row-Level Security aligned with your account.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share user data or extension metadata with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes. Tenant data is isolated per organization as described in our Privacy Policy and DPA.
For the full privacy framework, see the Privacy Policy, DPA, and Transparency pages.
